Drogheda Civil Offices

Drogheda, Ireland

About the Project

Situated within the architectural conservation area of Fair Street, the redevelopment of Drogheda Civic Offices has now begun.
The work, which is being led by BDP’s multidisciplinary team of architects, landscape architects, building services engineers and civil & structural engineers includes the careful refurbishment of two protected structures and the addition of a sedum covered link building.
Once opened to the public the new facility will house the council offices, district chamber and public services counter for Louth County Council, as well as a series of public meeting rooms and exhibition spaces for community use.
Chief Executive of Louth County Council, Joan Martin said: “The redevelopment and extension to the Drogheda Civic Offices has been an objective of Louth County Council for many years.
“When the works are completed the facilities for the public will be greatly improved and two currently unoccupied buildings will be brought back to life and will provide additional community facilities. This project will also tie in with the proposed URDF Westgate Vision Redevelopment works”.
