About the Project

At the heart of this renovation was the entrance lobby, which served a dual purpose as both a reception area and a lounge space. This area was accentuated with a feature display wall that showcased the extensive range of products offered by IDL, effectively communicating the company’s expertise and diversity in services. A key design element was the visual continuity established between the lobby and the adjacent industrial café space. This connection allowed visitors and staff to feel immediately engaged with the environment upon entering. The use of concrete-effect flooring provided a seamless transition from the lobby to the café, reinforcing the cohesive design language of the space.

The color palette played a significant role in defining the ambiance. Rich wood tones and aged copper elements were chosen to imbue the space with a sense of maturity and craftsmanship. These choices not only aligned with the company’s traditional values but also added a contemporary touch, reflecting their innovative spirit. The café space was meticulously designed to serve multiple purposes. It was envisioned as a casual meeting spot and a breakout area for both staff and guests. More than just a functional space, the café was intended to be a destination in itself, contributing significantly to the overall brand experience. This area epitomized the essence of Kavanagh Electrical’s identity – a space that was both traditional and innovative, welcoming yet crafted with a keen eye for detail.
